Weathertop - Original Painting

This painting is part of the "Lands Far Away" collection which remixes real places in the West Kootenay with imaginary locations from Tolkien's Middle Earth. Each painting starts with a reference photo from the West Kootenay and then is processed with Midjourney AI, using snippets of text from Tolkien's writings to push the concept further. I then paint from the resulting reference image, bringing more of my style and vision into the piece.
