Acrylic Landscapes for Beginners - Registration

Join artist Abby Wilson for a 6-week painting course on Tuesday evenings and learn how to capture our inspirational mountain landscapes. This course is designed for beginner artists (ages 14-100) and each class builds from the last. Students will learn basic painting techniques and design concepts.
- Week 1 (Jan 14th)- Composing the landscape

Week 2 (Jan 21st) - From drawing to painting
- Week 3 (Jan 28th) - Colour theory and mixing

Week 4 (Feb 4th) - Creating depth
- Week 5 (Feb 11th) - Painting techniques
- Week 6 (Feb 18th) - Tying it together
Supplies list
- Sketchbook or paper sheets for taking note and exercises
- Multimedia paper or canvas pad (at least 10 sheets)
- Pencil, eraser, and pen
- Acrylic paint brushes (variety of sizes, we'll have extras to borrow too)
- Palette for mixing paint (a flat tupperware container with a lid works well too)
- Acrylic paint (student quality is fine) - Titanium white, carbon black, primary yellow, primary magenta, and primary cyan
Plus wear clothes you're comfortable painting in.
Cancellation policy: you can cancel by January 7th and be fully refunded. If you cancel after January 7th, you'll get a 50% refund. You can also transfer your workshop spot to a friend if you're unable to join. If you miss a class, Abby will email you a summary of the notes and painting exercises so you can catch up.
