This painting is inspired by Silent Pass, near Golden BC. The Kootenay Mountaineering Club went here for Hiking Camp in 2023 and Alison Etter was kind enough to share her beautiful reference photo. I love the sunrise on the mountain peaks as it illuminated different panels of rock, along with the soft reflections in the water. This painting has a glow that the photos don't quite show - with luminous pigments used to capture the light.
24" x 48” original acrylic painting on 1.5″ depth gallery-wrapped canvas. The painting extends around the edges, with hanging hardware installed.
